Growth Street hosts first ever investor event and Q&A

Wednesday 6th March was an exciting day for Growth Street. We dusted off the swizzle sticks and welcomed guests to our first ever investor event!

Taking place at Growth Street’s central London HQ, attendees got the chance to hear from Greg Carter, our CEO, about our recent funding round, and Growth Street’s vision for the next 12 months. This was followed by a talk from Risk Director Mark Williams, who gave an overview of our lending criteria and the types of businesses investors’ money is lent out to.

Investors also got to meet one of our borrowers face-to-face: the bar was run by one of our business customers, whose team of mixologists whipped up a colourful array of cocktails throughout the evening. They were kind enough to name a cocktail in honour of the event, as well (‘The P2P’ – a Pisco Punch, believe it or not!).

The Growth Street team really enjoyed the opportunity to get to know our investors better, too. The Q&A session meant anyone could ask Greg and Mark questions directly, and there was plenty of time to chat afterwards over a drink.

We’re really grateful to everyone who attended. Plans for our next event later in the year are already being put together, so keep your eyes peeled for an invite!

Your capital is at risk if you lend to businesses. Lending to businesses is not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
